    S. Stamkos – gets the puck at center ice with a clean breakaway into the Canucks zone, carries the puck to the slot, pulls it to his backhand, and lifts it over Lack’s blocker
  • Vancouver Faults
    H. Sedin – turns the puck over at the Lightning blue line and then can’t get back to cover Stamkos on a breakaway since he was the last man back

1st Canucks Goal (Higgins), Even

  • Vancouver Contributions
    E. Lack – plays the puck from the net out to Edler at the faceoff circle so he can clear it out of the zone
    A. Edler – clears the puck off of the glass up the left-side boards into the Lightning zone
    C. Higgins – races up to the puck in the Lightning zone and passes it to Bonino above the left faceoff circle (cont.), redirects Bonino’s pass into Bishop, then gets the rebound as he skates across the crease and puts it past Bishop’s glove
    N. Bonino – cuts to the slot and backhands the puck to Higgins next to the crease
  • Tampa Bay Faults
    M. Carle – cuts to Bonino in the slot instead of allowing his partner to do that, which leaves Higgins wide open next to the crease and in front of the net

  • Vancouver Faults
    D. Hamhuis – fans on a puck behind the Canucks net allowing it to get to Callahan
    H. Sedin – doesn’t tie up Stamkos in front of the net as Callahan’s pass drifts that way

2nd Canucks Goal (Edler), Powerplay

  • Vancouver Contributions
    K. Bieksa – deflects a pass by Stamkos in the defensive zone up to Sedin entering the neutral zone
    D. Sedin – gets the puck and skates it down the right-side of the neutral zone into the Lightning zone, then centers it for Edler

  • Tampa Bay Faults

    S. Stamkos – carries the puck around the Canucks zone, behind their net, and then turns the puck over as Bieksa deflects his attempted pass to the point
    R. Callahan – can’t get decent positioning as he follows Edler into the Lightning zone, so he can’t stop the pass or lift Edler’s stick to prevent a shot

3rd Lightning Goal (Callahan), Powerplay

  • Tampa Bay Contributions
    R. Callahan – picks up a rebound along the left-side boards in the Canucks zone and moves it to Garrison at the top of the zone (cont.), one-times the pass from Stamkos past Lack’s right pad before he can get across

    A. Killorn – carries the puck into the left side of the Canucks zone to the top of the left faceoff circle on a 3-on-2, then passes the puck to Johnson at the inside of the right circle (cont.), crashes through the slot and knocks the rebound in past Lack’s left pad
    T. Johnson – takes a wrist shot that is stopped but leaves a rebound in front of the net
    V. Filppula – stops at the top of the crease and stands there as the rebound comes out, preventing Lack from moving to the puck and distracting him as well
  • Vancouver Faults
    J. Hansen – can’t get back enough to neutralize the odd-man break, then joins the play standing next to the net instead of covering any of the players in front of the net
