1st Flyers Goal (Raffl), Even

  • Philadelphia Contributions
    J. Voracek – stops Montreal’s clearing attempt along the boards and knocks the puck down to Giroux by the right faceoff circle
    C. Giroux – sees Raffl going to the slot in a 2-on-1 situation and makes a pass over Beaulieu’s stick to Raffl
    M. Raffl – goes in alone on Price, pulls the puck to his backhand, and flicks it past Price’s glove into the net
  • Montreal Faults
    T. Gilbert – can’t play a puck along the boards in the defensive zone, so it goes to Voracek for a turnover

2nd Flyers Goal (Simmonds), Even

  • Philadelphia Contributions
    M. Del Zotto – gets the puck behind his own net and moves it to B. Schenn moving up the left side boards
    B. Schenn – quickly passes the puck up the boards to Simmonds streaking through the neutral zone
    W. Simmonds – skates the puck to the top of the left faceoff dot and takes a wrist shot that beats Price’s glove
    V. Lecavalier – skates up ice on the right side with Simmonds, making the rush a partial 2-on-1, which keeps Tinordi playing the pass
  • Montreal Faults
    R. Bourque – loses his coverage of Simmonds as they exit the Flyers zone, forcing Tinordi to play Simmonds in a 2-on-1 situation instead of challenging him

3rd Flyers Goal (Simmonds), Powerplay

  • Philadelphia Contributions
    M. Streit – gets a puck that rebounds off of a blocked shot at the left point and throws it down to Lecavalier at the right side of the net
    V. Lecavalier – corrals the puck and takes a quick shot on Price that rebounds to the other side
    W. Simmonds – gets the rebound and shoots it into the net before Price can stretch across
  • Montreal Faults
    P. Subban – in the penalty box for high-sticking

1st Canadiens Goal (Markov), Even

  • Montreal Contributions
    A. Markov – stops the loose puck at the left point and fires a wrist shot back towards the net that goes over Emery’s shoulder
    B. Gallagher – helps screen Emery so he never sees Markov’s shot
  • Philadelphia Faults
    N. Schultz – attempts to clear the puck from the crease and sends it to Markov at the left point, then screens Emery in front, and also has Markov’s shot deflect off of his leg on the way in

2nd Canadiens Goal (Plekanec), Even

  • Montreal Contributions
    P. Parenteau – stops L. Schenn’s clearing attempt and fires the puck at the net, creating a rebound
    T. Plekanec – gets the rebound below the goal line to the right of the net, pulls it above the goal line, and shoots it over a sprawled-out Emery
  • Philadelphia Faults
    L. Schenn – tries desperately to clear a puck from the ground in the slot, but knocks the puck to Parenteau in the high slot
    V. Lecavalier – doesn’t pay attention to Plekanec sneaking to the right side of the net behind him and can’t reach Plekanec in time for the rebound

3rd Canadiens Goal (Galchenyuk), Even

  • Montreal Contributions
    P. Parenteau – wins a puck battle in the right corner of the Flyers zone on a dump-in, then moves the puck back to Subban at the right point
    P. Subban – passes the puck across to the left point for Markov
    A. Markov – passes the puck to Plekanec above the right faceoff dot
    T. Plekanec – one-times Markov’s pass towards the net
    A. Galchenyuk – redirects Plekanec’s shot past Emery’s right pad
  • Philadelphia Faults
    A. MacDonald – doesn’t maintain a good gap on Plekanec, allowing him to get the cross-ice pass and shoot it
    N. Schultz – fails to tie up Galchenyuk in front of the net, allowing him to redirect the puck in
